LINDSAY: With cottage season in full-swing, Lindsay is offering a perfect opportunity to furnish your Summer abode with vintage items, collectibles, and furniture.
The 46th Annual Antique Show and Sale is coming to the historic Victoria Park Armoury, in Lindsay, on Friday, July 8 and Saturday, July 9.
There is no better chance to find what you are looking for, with 31 dealers from across Ontario, converging in the heart of cottage country. The Preview Show on Friday, July 8, begins at 5 p.m. and goes until 8 p.m. The full show is on Saturday, July 9, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is only four dollars. Both shows take place at the Victoria Park Armoury, at 210 Kent St. West, in Lindsay.
Proceeds from the show go towards supporting community initiatives through “A Place Called Home.”
APCH is a non-profit organization that has been providing shelter and 24/7 support services to the homeless, since 1995. According to organizers, “This show has proven to be a win/win event for Antique Lovers, Antique Dealers and to our Community, and we look forward to continuing this tradition.”
The Antique Show and Sale first arrived at the Victoria Park Armoury in 1970, organized by the Lindsay Song Spinners. The Song Spinners used to entertain both vendors and patrons, with piano tunes and homemade pies. After 22 years, sponsorship of the event was handed over to the Lindsay Kinette Club, and then in 1996, ‘A Place Called Home’ took over the reigns, and has been hosting the event for the last 17 years.
A list of vendors can be found on the Lindsay Antique Show and Sale’s website at, www.lindsayantiqueshow.com. For more information, call 705-328-0905 or email, firstname.lastname@example.org.
